Between villages Soča and Trenta, right bank of River Soča, next to the trail from Trenta 2b cottage to Matevž's farmhouse, Trenta 1; East Julian Alps (Posočje, Slovenia)notes Slo.: Queletova golobica - syn.: Russula drimeia var. queletii (Fr.), Russula fellea var. flavovirens (E. Bommer & M. Rousseau) Costantin & Dufour, Russula flavovirens E. Bommer & M. Rousseau, Russula sardonia f. queletii (Fr.) Singer - Habitat: mixed wood, predominately Fagus sylvatica with scattered Picea abies, Ostrya carpinifolia, Fraxinus ornus; moderately inclined mountain slope, southeast aspect; calcareous, sandy, colluvial ground; mostly in shade; partly protected from direct rain by tree canopies; pictures taken after a prolonged rainy period, average precipitations ~ 3.000 mm/year, average temperature 7 - 9 deg C, elevation 595 m (1.950 feet), alpine phytogeographical region. - Substratum: forest soil. - Comments: Two pilei present; pilei diameter 5.5 and 3.4 cm, stipe diameter 10 and 7 mm, length 4.5 and 3.2 cm; taste strongly acrid, smell mild, fresh, indistinctive; SP abundant, light beige, oac815. Spores coarsely warty, warts about 1 µm high, ridges not seen. Spore dimensions: (7,3) 7,5 - 8,5 (8,8) × (6,4) 6,6 - 7,4 (7,7) µm; Q = (1) 1,1 - 1,2; N = 30, Me = 8,1 × 7 µm; Qe = 1,2.
