plant community Shady, wet, humid, Patagonian maritime rainforest of the Estero El Salto in loamy volcanic soils of a flat estuarial plain at the north end of Lago Riesco. -45.45658,-72.74534 elv.85' (26m) at Visitor Center.notes trunk view with old exfoliating greenish-orange bark showing new white surface underneath. Photos taken in a small, private but well managed, park-like preserve of coastal rainforest flora, with a spectacular roaring waterfall, on the large flat estuary above the northern shore of Lake Riesco. Small tree or shrub native to temperate regions of southern Chile and Argentina.keywords: SA, Chile
