Panoche Road, Tumey Hills (Fresno County, California, US)notes Strict acidic marine shale endemic. Locally restricted to the acidic marine shale, but locally abundant on that habitat type. Local endemic of the northwestern portion of the San Joaquin Desert. Panoche Hills, Tumey Hills, Griswold Hills, Ciervo Hills, Big Blue Hills. Commonly co-occurs with Eriogonum vestitum and Eriogonum nudum var. indictum, which are also both local, strict endemics of the acidic marine shale. Both species have nearly the same exact distribution and range as Amsinckia furcata.photo category: Plant - annual/perennial
