Kimberly Lane, Lakeport (Lake County, California, US)notes Serpentine grassland habitat for Camissonia lacustris. Kimberly Lane. Lakeport. Present in barren patch, center. Gravelly sandy soil derived from serpentinite. The species is rare, but where it is present, it occurs in localized barren patches of soil.
