plant community Chihuahuan Desert sand scrub at 4290' (1307m)notes robust, viscid leafy annual on low semi-stabilized sand dunes at breaks of the Rio Grande River. Note inflorescence at or within foliage, not above. Recent molecular studies returns this genus to the family Martyniaceae from Pedaliaceaekeywords: CDR, Chihuahuan Desert, sand dunes
