plant community Chihuahuan Desert Larrea-Yucca-Fouquieria scrub at 4600' (1400m)notes a 'forest' of arborescent plants in calcareous gravels at base of limestone hill. Status of Y. torreyi is unclear or confused, being variously considered as a synonym of either Y. faxoniana or Y. treculeana by some, or as a legitimate taxa by others. Until the matter is better resolved, there is justification for leaving it as is.keywords: CDR, Chihuahuan Desert
