location
Sears Point, along Gila River. (Yuma County, Arizona, US)notes Zoomorphs, plant forms & curved/straight geometrics can be seen on this panel carved into smooth, vertical cliff faces of a basalt mesa. Several cultures, Archaic, Hohokam and Patayan have used the area but most of the Sears Point petroglyphs are thought to be from the Patayan period (A.D. 700-1800). These may be from more than one period.keywords: archeology, petroglyph, rock art, native american, Patayan, Archaic
