| Reviewer's comments: | | | "The two lower batches are referable to N. humifusa Kell., a rel widespread S. Coast Range species with tiny all-white fls and distinctive white "blisters" on foliage, also cotyledons with sharp division between petiole and blade; grows on sand or other light soils from immediate coast to well inland. The plants at upper left belong to one of several "giant" segregates of nSNF and NCoR. The small plants at upper right belong to a segregate from moist meadow-edges in Santa Cruz County and possibly elsewhere. These are only 3 of many segregate taxa within the N. pedunculata complex." |
