Inyo National Forest, Near Mammoth Lakes (Mono County, California, US)notes Glacial Moraine at the mouth of Convict Creek Canyon. This large lateral moraine was formed during the Tahoe stage of glaciation about 50,000 to 100,000 years ago. It blocks the view of a series of smaller, younger Tioga stage moraines deposited with the valley formed by the Tahoe moraines.
