notes Habit of Eriogonum breedlovei var. breedlovei...showing cespitose (low-growing mat-like) growth form hugging limestone substrate. This rare buckwheat was shown to me by Dennis Haines in mid-July of 2010. Using the Jepson Manual, Flora of Kern County by Twisselmann & Moe, and Jim Reveal's key...all led to E. breedlovei.
