  • plant community   Wet forest primarily but sometimes mesic forest or gob margins 700-1590m
  • notes   Endemic genus. This species is endemic to Molokai, Lanai, Maui and Hawaii (Big Island). Some have found 8 varieties in this species. In this area I have found it sprawling and vine like, but also shrubby.
