notes A sprawling vine-like plant growing here in north-facing shade of a moss covered boulder. If you lift up a branch, you'll find what you may have thought was a small separate plant is part of a long interconnected network of lanky stems. (But careful...you may inadvertently yank a large mat of these beautiful but delicate plants.) Common in this area in shade within the Blue Oak/Grey Pine woodland. Flowers are rotate (virtually no tube, limbs lie in a plane), and auricles at the sinuses of the calyx lobes are tiny to absent.photo category: Plant - annual/perennial
