  • notes   Some basal leaves of S. covillei, a rare species growing here in an alkali meadow. The leaves on a single plant are highly variable ranging in form from those shown here to deeply cut with a few very thin, linear lobes. Typically the higher up on the plant, the more deeply cut and linear lobed the leaves get.
