notes Habit of Calochortus fimbriatus in early flower. This plant was growing in the open, but many other C. fimbriatus were growing upward through dense twigs of 'nurse shrubs'. A number of these plants had been top-clipped, their buds presumably eaten by deer or other herbivores.photo category: Plant - annual/perennial
