  • notes   Habit of Calochortus fimbriatus in flower. This plant was growing in the open, but a number of other C. fimbriatus were growing upward through dense twigs of 'nurse shrubs'. A number of the plants had been top-clipped, their buds presumably eaten by deer or other herbivores.
