notes Leafy branches. This species readily hybridizes with Populus fremontii, and there are many intermediate forms between the two species. Populus x hinckleyana is the name given to the hybrid between the two, but this specimen seems to show leaf characteristics that are intermediate between P. angustifolia and P. x hinckleyana.
