notes Detail, two maturing (i.e. early fruit stage) female inflorescences. Though the Jepson Manual (1993) lists the taxa Sparganium eurycarpum ssp. eurycarpum and S. erectum ssp. stoloniferum, both these taxa have been subsumed via synonomy under the single name S. eurycarpum in the Flora of North America treatment. FNA also placed the genus Sparganium within it's own family, the Sparganiaceae, whereas JEPS93 placed the genus within Typhaceae.
