habitat This individual was found on the ground, in a mature forest.notes Crepidophryne epiotica fue descrito en 1875, por Edward Cope. Desde entonces muy poco ha sido dilucidado acerca de su biologia. La especie es activa principalmente durante el dia, en el suelo del bosque (ha sido hallada unicamente en bosques maduros). Individuos han sido hallados tambien debajo de hojarasca y debajo de escombros. La fotografia es parte del proyecto PILA-Darwin: Herramientas basicas para el manejo del Parque Internacional La Amistad ('Darwin Initiative', numero de beca 15/027: 'Baseline tools for management in P.I. La Amistad (Costa Rica/Panama)'), del Museo de Historia Natural de Londres y la Universidad de Costa Rica. //// Crepidophryne epiotica was described in 1875 by Edward Cope. Since then, very little has been known about its biology. The species is principally active during the day, on the ground of forest (it has been found only in mature forests). Also individuals have been found under leaf litter and under debris. The picture is part of the PILA-Darwin Project ('Darwin Initiative' 15/027: 'Baseline tools for management in P.I. La Amistad (Costa Rica/Panama)'), of the Natural History Museum of London and the University of Costa Rica.photo category: Animal - Amphibian
