  • notes   This is a large adult, found under rocks in the stream bottom, just below the large spring that feeds the Longdong River. It is a rangy, active animal, but was relatively calm in our hands. It is a highly aquatic animal but is not gilled and was comfortable out of the water for the few minutes that it took for photography.
