location
Roy's Redwoods (Marin County, California, US)habitat Only found on woodnotes The genus Thelomma is one of the few lichen genera with the fruiting body made up of a mazedium. That means the spores are not inside the ascus structure, but sit on the top of the apothecia. If you run your finger over the top of the fruiting body, there will be black spore streaks on your finger. Thelomma occidental grows only on wood.camera Nikon Coolpix 995
