  • notes   Reaches 40m high. Flowering in April-May. Was considered as a sacred tree by ancien Germans and Scandinavians under the name of Yggdrasil. The origin of the name Fraxinus is uncertain. It might come from the ancient Greek 'phraxis', hedge.
