  • habitat  Shallow end of a cattail marsh, created by beavers. Nearby is a decidous woodland running up a hillside
  • notes   There are two couples in amplexus, the frog sexual embrace for egg laying. Females are rusty colored and males are dark brown. One additional male is at the top of the photo looking on. In between and to the right of the two couples are many egg masses laid by previous females.
