| Reviewer's comments: | | | "In general, lupines have seeds requiring scarification (scratching or scoring) to germinate, can produce an abundant amount of seed per plant, and have the ability to grow in nutrient-deficient soils due to their obligate relationship with the bacteria Bradyrhizobium for nitrogen fixation. Also, lupines tend to grow in porous soils in full sun and have long-lived seeds ." |

| Reviewer's comments: | | | "Disregard my annotation note above--I was working on a Lupine document at the same time and did not pay attention to what I was inserting. The leaves are wrong and Hemieva is a diminutive plant." |
