notes Habit shot. Yes, this really is a Layia! It has phyllaries completely clasping the ray fruits, nicely lobed ligules, and is dotted w/ black spherical glands. And, it's succulent! It's also a federally endangered plant (CNPS List 1B).camera Shot on a Canon Digital Rebel XT at f14, 1/60, ISO 100 with a Canon 50mm compact macro lens.
