notes Grows on diatomaceous shale, in shady areas. Appears to be uncommon, when one is walking along the road or firebreak, but duck into the shade and voila, tomentosa galore. Note that the common name 'Eastwood Manzanita' has been used for this entity and also for Arctostaphylos glandulosa! As the sign said, Be Ware.photo category: Plant - annual/perennial
