location
Summit of Harris Grade Rd, Purisima Hills, north of Lompoc (Santa Barbara County, California, US)family
Fabaceae
synonyms Lotus junceus
notes Clifford Smith (A Flora of the Santa Barbara Region, 1998) said that this form, in the Bishop Pine forests around Lompoc, suggests Hoover's (Vascular Plants of San Luis Obispo County, 1970) Lotus biolettii spiralis. But it keys out to Lotus junceus var. junceus in Jepson. But I lack the experience to say whether it's typical of that variety, overall. It seems wirier than nearby L. scoparius, but whether it's wirier than typical L. junceus var. junceus is beyond me at this time.photo category: Plant - annual/perennial
