notes Detail of three maturing fruits of T.grandiflora. These are capsules dihiscing along two valves. The two clumps of small developing seeds are attached to the inner sides of the capsule, below the sinuses of the valves (i.e. the placentas are parietal). The scaly remnants of the hypanthium can be seen clinging to the bases of the capsules.camera Shot on a Canon Digital Rebel XT at f8, 1/200, ISO 100, w/ flash using a Canon 50mm compact macro lens.
