habitat Cerrado/Chaco/Caatinganotes Vanzosaura rubricauda (Squamata: Gymnophthalmidae) is distributed throughout the diagonal belt of open formations in South America. In the Cerrado region this small lizard has a patchy distribution, being absent from crystalline or clay-rich high plateaus, such as those in Emas National Park or Brasilia region.
