habitat Cerrado/Chaco/Caatinganotes Vanzosaura rubricauda (Squamata: Gymnophthalmidae) is distributed throughout the diagonal belt of open formations in South America. In the Cerrado region this small lizard has a patchy distribution, being absent from crystalline or clay-rich high plateaus, such as those in Emas National Park or Brasilia region. However, in sandy plateaus, such as Grande Sertão Veredas National Park or Jalapão region, this is an abundant species.photo category: Animal - Reptile
