Note the grassy layer, some small palms (Butia sp.), and stunted, sparse, thick-barked trees. Brasilia region, 1100m above sea-level, stands over an ancient (pre-cambrian) crystalline plateau, on the watershed between Amazonian and La Plata river systems.photo category: Landscape - habitat
