  • notes   This small rattlesnake was heard as it rattled while crawling from the edge of a talus slope to the base of a pine log. Of the four species of rattlesnakes found in the canyon where this snake was found, the Twin-Spotted Rattlesnake is typically found in higher elevations than the other three (willardi, molossus, and lepidus).
