| Reviewer's comments: | | | "per email from William Leonard: 'I disagree with Nancy Duncan's re-identification of the specimen from Rialto Beach. The specimen in the photo has the one (only?) field character that appears to allow separation from glandulosa. The presence of a papillose mantle has proven not to be a good character for separating glandulosa from burringtoni. Moreover, the specimen in the photo was collected at the type locality of H. burringtoni and has been provided to Thomas Wilke for a genetic study of the Hemphillia.' " |
