  • notes   Slo.: širokolistni grahor - syn. Lathyrus sylvestris var. latifolius (L.) Fiori, Lathyrus sylvestris subsp. latifolius (L.) Arcang., Lathyrus megalanthus Steud., Pisum latifolium (L.) E.H.L.Krause. - Habitat: Unmaintained grassland among bushes and small trees with flat terrain; partially sunny location at an elevation of 45 m (150 feet); average precipitation is about 950 mm/year, with an average temperature of 12-14 °C, classified within the Sub-Mediterranean phytogeographical region. - Substratum: Skeletal soil. - Comment about Flick album Lathyrus latifolius: Lathyrus latifolius is a sprawling and/or vigorous climbing perennial plant with beautiful, vibrant rose-to-white flowers. The flowers, pods, and seeds are pea-like, but this species does not belong to the genus Pisum. The plant is native to Europe but is now widespread on every continent except Antarctica and Greenland (Ref.: 2). Although it is toxic to livestock, the data on human toxicity is contradictory. In small amounts, some even consider the seeds to be nutritious. This species sighting is likely the first for the island of Olib, based on data from the FCD (Ref.: 3). - Ref.: (1) T.
