Castilleja arachnoidea |
Castilleja nana (Dwarf Alpine Indian Paintbrush, Dwarf Alpine-paintbrush) | Note black stigma, often found in C. nana but not common in C. arachnoidea. Also note more acute tips on bract segments, and, while hard to see, the lack of any sign of arachnoid pubescence. Finally, Pioneer Basin is in Fresno, far south of the normal range of C. arachnoidea. |
