Boana semilineata |
Boana pombali | Species of the Boana semilineata known to occur in east coast of the State of Bahia are only B. semilineata and B. pombali. Besides being overall very similar, a good character to differentiate those species is the prepollical spine (present in B. pombali; absent in B. semilineata). It is obvious by the photo that the specimen have a prepollical spine. Further, the turquoise-blue ring around the iris is a character very conspicuous in B. pombali. |
