05/02/2018 Paulo Pinheiro  taxon changed Boana semilineata Boana pombali
Species of the Boana semilineata known to occur in east coast of the State of Bahia are only B. semilineata and B. pombali. Besides being overall very similar, a good character to differentiate those species is the prepollical spine (present in B. pombali; absent in B. semilineata). It is obvious by the photo that the specimen have a prepollical spine. Further, the turquoise-blue ring around the iris is a character very conspicuous in B. pombali.
