08/05/2009 Christopher Sears  taxon changed Crepis modocensis Crepis occidentalis (Modoc Hawksbeard)
This plant seems to lack setae on the involucral bracts, a classic diagnostic character of the majority of Crepis modocensis. The overall grey colored herbage and habit indicate this to be C. occidentalis.
