11/17/2012 Randall Morgan  taxon changed Trifolium fucatum (Bull Clover) Trifolium sp. nov. aff. fucatum
this belongs to a very variable NCoR species that resembles T. virescens of Marin and Sonoma Co.'s but is extremely different in DNA profile from all of the other T. fucatum (s.l.) segregate species. As in the case of T. fucatum s. str., this species has several major and many minor regional races, but unlike those of T. f. they all differ genetically as well as morphologically. All of them have showy yellow/red fls so it is surprising there are so few posted on calphoto. Your form looks somewhat unlike the many others I've seen, so if you ever get back to that place, please collect seed or at least a specimen for study and DNA analysis.
