Trifolium depauperatum |
Trifolium depauperatum var. depauperatum | This, like all but one photos of this species currently posted on calphoto (i.ePawek) is the relatively showy but nearly uniform northern race. The southern race has smaller, more fragile flowers which range from white to reddish, and extremely varied leaf shapes and markings, and also differs in DNA. By priority the name of the latter would be T. d. var. laciniatum. |
