04/27/2006 Ron Kelley  taxon changed Plagiobothrys trachycarpus Plagiobothrys humistratus
Plant appears to be spreading or prostrate, inflorescence is compact, flower pedicels appear to be turned downward while sepals are somewhat reflexed and turned upward, leaves strongly turned upward; only P. humistratus or P. scriptus has these characters with broad triangulate shaped nutlets. P. humistratus has shorter sepals than P. scriptus, but nutlets would be confirmatory.
