| Ron is a field botanist and professional horticulturist (General Manager of Roger's Gardens, Newport Beach, CA). He is a CNPS chapter director, field trip chair, invasive plant chair and rare plant committee member. He is a member of the species review committee of the CA Invasive Plant Council and a board member of Calflora. Ron’s focus is on the status and distribution of both native and invasive plants, esp. of the South Coast region. He provides assistance with field guides, public education, conservation, photography and native plant resources. Ron posts numerous field records to Calflora and iNaturalist. In addition to Calphotos, many of his photographs can be seen on these sites.
