Philip de Pous is a researcher based in the Netherlands. His main research interests are niche evolution, speciation, ecology, conservation, phylogeography, biogeography, systematics and distribution patterns of reptiles and amphibians of the Mediterranean, Arabian and Northern African region, Madagascar and New Caledonia. Other interests include island biogeography, systematic conservation planning, GIS, species distribution modelling, climate change and Mediterranean temporary ponds.
