Michele Menegon's research focuses on the herpetofauna of East Africa, examining global diversification patterns, phylogenetic relationships and radiation/speciation patterns of amphibians and reptiles. He is a member of the IUCN Amphibian Specialist Group, the Chameleon Specialist Group, and an editorial board member of the African Journal of Herpetology.
