Julie Wakelin is a retired government official who has now turned her interests to mycology. She lives on Gabriola Island B.C., the northernmost of the Gulf Islands (near Victoria and Vancouver). For the last three years she has been photographing the local fungi and she now has an extensive photographic collection ready to be shared. Julie is also a published poet and is working on her first novel.
Special interests: All fungi are of interest, but I do have a special affinity for polypores and other shelf-like fungi.
