Frans Wennmacker specializes in the amphibians of Turkey. He is doing fieldwork on the amphibians of Turkey in cooperation with the Akdeniz University in Antalya. He teaches at the HEAO in Arnhem and Nijmegen, the Netherlands. He is a member of the Dutch and Belgian salamander society.
