Eliza Maher Hasselquist has been working in plant communities in the western U.S. since 2000. She earned her M.S. in Biology (emphasis in Plant Ecology) from Idaho State University in 2004. Soon after, she was hired as a Preserve Manager in Western Riverside County for the Center for Natural Lands Management (www.cnlm.org). In that capacity, she did rare plant surveys, long-term monitoring of sage scrub habitat, weed control, ecological restoration, and general land management. Eliza is now living in northern Sweden pursuing a PhD in Ecology, with an emphasis in restoration ecology.
