|Axel Kwet, born in 1965, received his PhD in Biology from the University of Tübingen, Germany, in 2001. He is a professional herpetologist with focus on taxonomy and ecology of neotropical amphibians and reptiles, especially in southern Brazil and Uruguay. From 2000-2011 he was employed in the Staatliches Museum für Naturkunde Stuttgart. Since 2004 he is vicepresident of the German Herpetological Society (DGHT). Since 2006 he works as editor and lector for NTV edition (Münster, Germany), publisher of the herpetological hobbyist magazines REPTILIA, DRACO and TERRARIA.|
