| I've lived in western Washington most of my life, often in rural or even near-wild areas. No professional training, but wide and frequent contact with professional university teaching staff (i.e., Dean Robert Smith, earth sciences, University of Seattle). Much practice at photography, including good microphotographs of rare mineral species.
