Anna Leavitt

Since 2006, I have lived and worked in San Diego as a field botanist. Prior to San Diego, I called Arcata CA my home while earning a degree in Botany from Humboldt State University. I spent my childhood and teenage years in a secluded area of the Sierra Nevada which ignited a curiosity and love for the outdoors. CalPhotos and the contributing photographers have helped expand my knowledge of the natural word and I hope my photo contributions will do the same for others. RECON Environmental, Inc. 2008-Present. Past: Soil Ecology & Restoration Group 2006-2008; San Diego Zoo Institute for Conservation Research Native Seed Gene Bank Fellow summer 2006; Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge Invasive Weed Intern summer 2005
