| Alison Sheehey's research includes the Rose-ringed Parakeets of Bakersfield, CA, and vertebrates of Kern County, California. She is currently working on the fauna of Kern County, specialty in vertebrates. Alison holds a BS in Biology from CSU Bakersfield and is president of the Kern Audubon Society. She is the author of multiple checklists and trail guides for Kern County areas, and also writes local nature stories for Bakersfield Magazine.
