Alison Colwell   

 

Alison Colwell is a botanist with the USGS Yosemite Field Station in El Portal, CA. She became interested in parasitic plants while taking an undergraduate field botany course at UC Berkeley. For her graduate degree, she studied genome evolution in parasitic plants at Washington University in Saint Louis. She is currently working on Orobanche for Flora of North America project and The Jepson Manual.
