Adam Searcy

I live in Camarillo, CA, have a B.S. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from UCSC and currently work as an independent biological consultant. I spend as much free time as I can studying the local flora (or whatever is local wherever I happen to be) and enjoy 'chasing' rare and unusual plant taxa to learn more about their morphology, habits, habitat, etc.
Special interests: My work mostly involves birds but includes vegetation classification, vegetation surveys, etc. I have 15 years of experience identifying plants, including both herbarium and field work involving plant identification. I have greatest familiarity with flora of the Transverse Ranges, W. Mojave desert, Sierra Nevada, and Central and S. Coast Ranges.
